Honey Roasted Chocolate Protein Balls

Chocolate Peanut Balls

Made with only 3 ingredients if you use the @nutshed_ honey roasted peanut butter ! And if you want to use another plain peanut butter brand (or you don’t live in Ireland!) I’ve got you covered below also.

Quantity: makes 12 balls

Ingredients:

  •    1/2 cup @nutshed Honey roasted peanut butter

•      1 cup almond flour (ground almond)

•       200g Melted 70% dark chocolate

OR if you’re using plain peanut butter follow recipe below:

•      1 cup almond flour

•      1/2 cup smooth peanut butter of choice

  • 3-4 Tbsp honey

  • Sprinkle of sea salt

  • A handful of roasted peanuts

    Method: 

    1. . Line a large tray with parchment paper.

    2. Mix the almond flour & the @nutshed peanut butter in a bowl until it forms a solid mass. (if you are using plain peanut butter, add your honey, peanut butter and sea salt in at this stage)

    3. Then roll approx. 1 tablespoon of the mixture in your hands until it forms a small ball.

    4. Melt your dark chocolate in a Pyrex bowl over boiling water (or microwave gently for 20secs & repeat until melted).

    5. One at a time drop a protein ball into the melted chocolate (use 2 spoons to do this!) and place on your tray.

    6. Then sprinkle with freeze dried raspberries , sea salt or coconut desiccate (get playful with your toppings!)

    7. Pop them all into the fridge for at least 2 hours before tucking in! Enjoy!

  • Hot tip: you can freeze then too, but make sure you take them out for 5 mins to defrost before you eat!
